Liverpool new Look.

It has been a summer of change for Liverpool: new manager, attempting to find new owners – and now they’re changing their kit, too.

The club have already unveiled new home and away strips and are launching this smart black third kit for the 2010-11 season.

Roy Hodgson’s side will be hoping the new kits bring them luck after a shocking return in both domestic and European competitions last season.

Moreover, Hodgson will be desperate to see his big stars – Steven Gerrard, Fernando Torres and Javier Mascherano – sporting the new kit, rather than that of another club, when the season kicks off on August 14.

Fans will note that the club badge has been updated and manufacturers adidas have incorporated new TechFit and Climacool technologies.

A new laser cut woven crest promises to replace the heavier embroidery technique traditionally used, with a thinner, lighter badge on a sleeker shirt.

The TechFit technology has been designed to help improve speed, increase endurance capabilities and enhance body awareness.

And the Climacool innovations use a mixture of heat and moisture controlling materials, ventilation channels and 3D fabrics which improve air flow to the skin in the key heat zones. Obviously.
